The Vancouver Titans today announced that shooting guard Josh Washington has left the team to pursue an opportunity to play in China. The games serve as an audition for American players, who hope to sign a lucrative contract playing in the Chinese league, which is one of the world’s premier pro hoops organizations. A mandate of the Vancouver Titans franchise is to develop professional basketball players, and to serve as a springboard for these players’ careers. Head Coach and General Manager David Petroziello says the Titans organization is behind Josh as he pursues this new opportunity, “We are all excited for Josh to be getting this opportunity to showcase his considerable talents in China. Josh was not only of our top performers on the court, he was also a great person to have around in our first year. He is a quality individual for whom I know success is coming. I wish him the very best.” The Titans are proud to provide the opportunity for athletes to take their games to the next level and look forward to having more Titans players obtain similar opportunities in the future.
