Scott AllenWith 3 championships Scott Allen, current Head Coach of the Men’s basketball team at Trinity Western University, will take the lead position on the BC Titans bench this season.

A part of the fabric in the community, Coach Allen started as a part of the Titans Advisory Committee and is excited about the opportunity to develop players for the next level in professional basketball from all over the world.  “It is a privilege to work with high level athletes and assist them in reaching their full potential. My commitment is to make the game fan friendly by bring exciting players in who love to compete and score.  Our team will aspire for excellence on the floor and in the community. Working with youth will be one of our measurements for success.”

Allen started his winning coaching career as a Warrior at the White Rock Christian Academy and is currently in a race for a successful finish to the season with the Trinity Spartans.  Always building programs that bring the best out of players, the BC Titans look forward to seeing that approach applied to the squad.  Additional coaching credits include positions with Basketball BC, Basketball Canada, University of Florida and the Adidas All Star Game.  With impressive win records, a history of nurturing athletes with discipline and determination to become champions, Coach Allen adds the necessary ingredients for the Mighty Titans to make a run for the IBL Championship.

Titans owner, Jonathan Mara sums it up best:  “I have been fortunate to directly witness Coach Allen’s coaching style over the past 11 years and have always been impressed that he has gotten the most out of his players resulting in teams that are actually able to achieve greater results than just the sum of the individuals working as team under a different coach – the Titans are fortunate to have him on board.”
The BC Titans look forward to another exciting season at the Langley Events Center starting in the Spring of 2010.  The Titans will look to build on the success of their inaugural season, which saw the team earn a spot in the 2009 IBL play-offs.  BC Titans home games are at the Langley Events Centre.
