BC Titans 103 - Vancouver Volcanoes 105 PDF Print E-mail

In what was probably the most thrilling of all the IBL playoff games so far, the Vancouver Volcanoes defeated the BC Titans 105-103 in thrilling fashion.  Vancouver jumped out to the early lead, 26-17 with 3 minutes left in the opening quarter, but the Titans came back to tie it at 33 less than a minute into the 2nd period.  It was close much of the rest of the quarter, with BC grabbing the halftime lead, 57-55.

It was a bruising battle much of the rest of the way.  Vancouver led for much of the 2nd half, but couldn’t take a commanding lead.  It was 63-59 Vancouver with 9 minutes left in the third, and 89-84 at the end of three.
The fourth quarter was much the same.  BC took the lead at 95-93, but a Devin Uskoski put back tied it at 95.  Vancouver lead102-97 with a minute left.  But then BC came back.  Down 102-100, but then Emmy Unaegbu made a thrilling 3-point play with just seconds remaining to put BC back on top 103-102.  But Vancouver somehow answered with a 3 point play of their own for the final margin-105-103-and a trip to the IBL semi-finals against Albany, New York.
